Twisted Hunt, like all other hunts on the grid, has a set of rules and guidelines for people who choose to do the hunt. We are fully aware that Twisted Hunt is really hard. In fact, we have a whole page devoted to how hard the hunt can be for people. With that bit pointed out, there are a few other things of which you should be aware.

Never fear, because the Merchants have their own set of rules they must follow, or face the wrath of a whole lot of people, including a couple of very harried and annoyed organizers. We're actually very strict about these rules, but we do ask that you take this into account before you contact us with issues.

With all that out in the open, here are some handy rules. Read them, admire them, live by them.

Cheating. We do not allow it. "But what is considered cheating?" you might ask. Good question. A good rule of thumb is if you have to ask, then it probably is cheating.

Here's a short list of things we consider taboos, no nos, and generally Not Good To Confess To:

  • Wire Framing
  • Derendering most or all of the store
  • Area Search
  • Shouting out locations in chat, voice, or local
  • Creating a blog of locations with pictures and/or direct SLurls
  • Standing over, near, or on a cube location so people can see where the item is hidden
  • Sending out note card with hunt locations
  • ANY other similar activity that gives away hunt locations or spoils the actual game of hunting for the prizes!

***Special Note about End Game ***

End Game is set up as a challenging bit of fun. Hence the word "Game" in the title. If you cam around and teleport through the game it is cheating. End Game is on Rox's land. Rox is really, good at spotting cheaters in End Game. It's her mutant super power. If you wish to get to the end and get your survivor tag, it's probably not a good idea to cheat and make Rox unhappy.

This should NOT have to be pointed out BUT to be sure it is VERY clear...Teleporting someone else in from off sim to the prize room will get you and them ejected and banned by Rox instantly! We do have our little ways of knowing who went through end game and who cheated!

If you are caught doing any of these things, do not be surprised if you are ejected and/or banned from the several stores on the hunt. Merchants tend to get a little crabby when people are caught cheating, especially in their own stores, and many of them do talk to each other when people are cheating, also many stores share sims with other stores. Even though merchants can and do move the hunt item frequently, they prefer not to have to because someone was caught doing the unthinkable. We want you to have fun. We even want you to finish the hunt!

Those who feel the need to spoil the fun of others repeatedly, and those who are problems over and over risk finding themselves banned from the group as well!

HOWEVER, and at risk of sounding like Mike Brady, "When you cheat, you not only cheat others, you're cheating yourself."

Ignorance of the law is no excuse. Share and enjoy.
